Just started a new job in weed cultivation industry, I have no experience besides knowing people who grew over the years, I dont smoke weed anymore I have never really been a avid weed smoker, just off and on over the years.
For being a newby to the industry I feel like I've been thrown into these beautiful plants and not being mentored or shadowed as much as I would like. Not all the plants are easy to crawl up under but Ive been managing without breaking any branches which Im quite impressed. The issues I had with one strain is after plucking the leaves some of the branches are droopy ( not snapped or broke, just droopy) and not up right. At the end of the day my supervisor showed me the issue and said i was probably not supporting the plant enough. He didnt seem upset, But Im certainly worried Ive hurt those plants yields. Im really excited about this job I want to learn how to work these plants and be a part of a great industry. Can anybody tell me if this is a newby error that occurs. or am I the only one ever? Any input would help, Im gonna ask more about it next week with my supervisor . Im over thinking about this and wanted to know if Ive hurt the plants in anyways.
I plan to go in Monday an ask for guidance so it doesn't keep happening. I told them please dont let me do something wrong please come tell me and show me. I figured since the building is under constant surveillance somebody would be watching me closely, but apparently thats not the case. I dont want to harm the plants or hurt their yields. Hopefully I can fix this and be able to keep this job. I really like it and they seem like a really good company to work for.
Thank you for any input
