This project began almost a year ago as personal tool to help make sense of the emerging cannabis market in NY. I was tracking dispensary openings near me, taking notes, cataloging brands and trying to disambiguate the illusion of choice.

If you're in the weed biz, it's currently free to submit/claim your brand or dispensary.
Existing apps were insufficient, either too sparse for what I was looking for, or too national and ad-riddled. This app is free and ad-free, no sponsors, I'm just some guy and you might not agree with my opinions, but that's cool we can discuss it here on reddit!
Over time, I realized I could start providing additional value with open data available from New York State, and integrated additional map layers I found useful, such as atms, tobacco shops, bike trails, state parks, NYC transit and public bathrooms. Additional, there is data I've gathered and compiled through R&D to provide context and notes, for example the cannabis opt-out zones, and native land overlays.
Beyond the map, which was a critical feature for my personal taste, I wanted to answer the question everyone is asking, "Where can I find the products I want?" and "Who has the deals?" This data is updated daily.
What I've learned in this process is that the official OCM resources are insufficient. There are missing entries, typos, incorrect URLs, incorrect addresses, references to past businesses and other issues. I've worked hard to cross-reference data and shore things up and try to keep this resource as accurate as possible.

These data gaps ultimately let me to building an underlying data and market intelligence platform that help make this app possible.
This is a progressive web app, you don't need to go to the app store to install it, "installing" adds the icon to your home screen and opens it as a dedicated browser. Fast, free, easy, no bullshit.
What are the top features you would like to see as either consumer, brand rep or dispensary owner? There is a user system with minimal features, we have a feature backlog but wanted to poll the community on prioritization.
