Help with Preroll-er 200

For my job I'm using a Preroll-er 200 and am having an issue getting the crutches good when the materil is dry and more coarse. I've tries adjusting the needle speed/schute speed, spaces between needle strokes. Im just not sure where to even start. Any insight on a starting point and what direction to go from there would be super helpful. I unfortunatly wasent running the machine yet when the techs from preroll-er came to train and we have never accessed our client portal.
