How are you valuing cannabis equipment?

I’ve been in the cannabis industry for a bit now, mostly on the operations side, and lately I’ve been helping folks liquidate or upgrade their grow setups through consignment auctions. It’s wild how much the market for used equipment fluctuates -stuff like LED lights, extraction rigs, or even basic trim machines can go for way more (or less) than you’d expect depending on the region and timing.

I’m curious: How do you all value your equipment when it’s time to sell or trade? Do you use online comps, appraisers, or just gut feel based on original cost? For example, I’ve seen some high-end CO2 extractors fetch 50% of retail in auctions if they’re in good shape, but older hydro systems might tank if the tech’s outdated.

Would love to hear your thoughts or any recent sales stories—might help me advise better on upcoming lots. If anyone’s got gear they’re looking to offload, feel free to DM for tips on getting top dollar.
