Hey everyone,
I run a small business that sells a few weed-adjacent products — nothing plant-touching, just accessories like storage items. It’s honestly a really small part of my total sales, and I’m even considering dropping that part of the catalog entirely just to make insurance easier.
The issue is, I’ve been trying to renew my general liability insurance, and I’m getting pushed toward surplus lines carriers that cost 2–3x what I used to pay. I was with Liberty Mutual for years without any issues, but now my agent isn’t appointed with them anymore, so I’d have to reapply from scratch — and suddenly these few products are a problem.
I’m wondering if anyone else here has been through something similar:
I’m just looking for a clean COI to stay compliant with marketplaces, and hoping not to get wrecked on premiums. Appreciate any advice.
