Hey SF cannabis community, Ive been following the regulatory changes affecting our local dispensaries and wanted to open a discussion. From what I'm seeing:
• The state now requires economic impact statements for new rules, which should help assess financial impacts on small businesses
• Local jurisdictions like SF have their own additional requirements beyond state regulations
• Security compliance has become stricter, with recent DCC inspections in SF identifying specific issues
• Lounge operations require additional health permits with ventilation and restroom requirements here in the city
For those running or working in small SF shops: What's been the biggest challenge adapting to these changes? Are there particular regulations that feel disproportionately burdensome for smaller operations compared to larger chains?
Also curious, have any of these changes actually improved operations or customer experience from your perspective?
