Best Degrees in California

Im currently a freshman in college, pursuing my associates in Horticulture and later my bachelors in Plant Science. I was wondering if these degree are relevant in Northern California Grow industry, or if these will land me a higher paying job in the future, I know that you need to start off low and work your way up in the industry, which im planning to do when I turn 21. Thanks!! any advice would be amazing.
