I know this might be a common question but why do bong hits feel different than joints?

have always wondered this too. same flower, same amount, but a bong sends me to space while joints are more mellow. is it the water filtration, the speed of consumption, temperature? what I came close to was that it comes down to physics, bongs cool the smoke and deliver a denser hit faster so your system gets a heavier load at once. joints burn slower, letting terps show off and the high creep up. i've seen people on on we know flower say they prefer joints causev it's better for tasting a strain while bongs punch harder if you just want to get lifted. for me it depends on mood, but both have their place.
