I'm working with a dispensary, trying to help them smooth out their day-to-day, and I’ve hit a wall. I'm sure some of you have been through this and might have thoughts.
The shop is solid. The owner and crew are great people who know their stuff. They know adopting some more automated systems will help the business but they're also habitually comfortable with the way their doing things now.
We have some (probably pretty basic) areas we want to use automation
The owner & manager get the "why" behind making a change. The idea of learning and implementing whole new systems feels like a burden. The owner being not the one to do all the work is worried he may not understand what's going on or how to use the tech himself.
So, for those of you who have successfully navigated this, what actually worked? How did you get the team from being resistant to actually using the new tools?
I'm also trying to think a few steps ahead. Once we get past the core stuff like inventory, compliance, and sales, what other parts of the operation have you found are worth automating? I've been thinking about marketing or maybe something else entirely that's saved you a significant amount of time.
Just trying to make sure I’m not missing something obvious. I appreciate any advice you can share. Thanks.
