Former Employee: Eastern Green Dispensary Is Endangering Patients & Staff — CRC + OSHA Already Involved

I used to work at Eastern Green, a licensed NJ dispensary, and I’m here to expose some serious issues that not only put workers at risk but also violate compliance and safety standards.

• Cannabis products (including carts, concentrates, and edibles) are stored in an unsecured back hallway right by an employee exit. This creates a huge security risk, especially since these products are visible from the sales floor. One employee with PTSD had to step down from their role because of safety concerns.

• The dispensary is repeatedly failing to input medical patient allotments correctly. Multiple times, patients’ allotments have been skipped, meaning they’re not receiving what they’ve paid for, which can cause serious issues with their legal protections.

• Vendor samples, specifically edibles, are clearly labeled as “FOR RETAIL STAFF ONLY” but are being stickered over and sold to customers as regular product. This is a direct violation of ethical and regulatory standards.

• On top of that, two separate septic tank issues in the basement occurred within the past year, and instead of properly addressing the contamination, the owners simply sprayed bleach and told employees to keep working in the area. This is not just a health concern but a potential liability disaster.

I’ve already reported all of this to the NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC), OSHA, and local health authorities.

I’m also in possession of photographic evidence showing the products in the back hallway and visible to customers.

This isn’t just bad for employees and patients — it’s bad for the entire NJ cannabis industry if places like this are allowed to operate without proper oversight.
